about me
(kacper bartoszak - behind the scenes)
- Born and raised in Poland. Always entrepreneurial: In high school, I resold clothes, sunglasses, and games.
- After that, I took a gap year to hitchhike to Spain and traveled across Thailand, USA, and many more.
- I obtained a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a master’s in management. I participated in an exchange program in Portugal. Also, during my university years, I started working in marketing and discovered a passion for it. (fun fact: made my first money online by selling landing pages on Facebook and Instagram)
- I started organizing startup events to meet more like-minded people in my city.
- At the age of 20, I founded my first company—a video production studio named “Dive in Life” that performed well. We specialized in creating advertisement, event, and educational videos, catering to a diverse clientele including a cinema, marathon, and even hospital.
- At 23, I launched my second company—a marketing agency DIVE ADS later rebranded to PEOPLE HATE ADS* that is still in operation. Our expertise lies in brand strategy, content creation, and guerrilla-style campaigns. One of the most memorable marketing stunts we orchestrated was an art treasure hunt in NYC.
- Also, for a football academy promotion, we arranged for football players to bring their children for training sessions; and for a streetwear brand, we deployed a robot to roam the city carrying a T-shirt.
- I lived in the UK, the Netherlands, and Portugal as a digital nomad.
- I’m a blockchain enthusiast. I discovered cryptocurrency in 2017 and have been an investor ever since. To spread awareness, I’ve organized free events to educate people about blockchain technology. (Fun fact: I participated in the 2021 NFT craze and the GameStop short squeeze.)
- To express my artistic and creative side, I launched the streetwear x tech brand Thanatos.club in 2023.
I launched several startups in the VR, NFT, crypto, and marketing sectors but struggled to find a product-market fit. Despite this, I learned a great deal and had the opportunity to participate in Y Combinator’s Startup School online and Buildspace. - I often share what I’ve learned on social media and have had the opportunity to speak at conferences in Europe and the USA.
- Now, I’m experimenting with new startup ideas.
